I work for an indepentant
mortgage lender serving all of Maryland, and provide a wide array of mortgage
loan products. Dozens upon dozens of options are available that will
allow me to help you choose the loan program that is best for you, depending

a better question would be, "Why use an independent Mortgage Company at
all?" According to what you may hear on the TV or Radio, or even see here
on the internet... some independent mortgage companies, local banks, brokers,
small net branches, etc. are unnecessary middlemen who brings nothing to
the transaction but added cost. This is simply not true. Before you
buy into that argument, read the fine print
on what they say they are offering (watch out for the Bait & Switch),
and ask yourself a few questions:

What do you know about the mortgage
business? I mean really know. Not the stuff you read in financial magazines
or the newspaper, or an anecdote related to you by a friend or neighbor,
but the nuts and bolts of mortgages.

Do you fully understand why
we offer so many different loan programs and how they may benefit you,
compared to the One Product loan offered elsewhere by the "Big Guys"?

Can you read and understand
the various disclosures, such as a Good Faith Estimate of closing costs,
Truth in Lending Annual Percentage Rate disclosure, Servicing Disclosure,
etc.? If you're like most people, your answer to these questions
is going to be no.

each item one at a time. Some other companies don't even bother to
provide them, and operate by keeping you in the dark right up to the loan
closing. Then, SURPRISE! Speaking of which... do you really
